David graduated from The British School of Osteopathy, (now University College of Osteopathy) in 1983. As well as gaining experience working in other practices he set up his own practice back then and at the invitation of local GP’s moved to Southmead Surgery in 1997. He is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, (iO) and a regularly teaches GP trainees about Osteopathy.

With nearly 40 years of clinical experience David has the knowledge and skills, to firstly assess and diagnose the problems you come to see him with and then to provide you with advice on how to manage your condition and he will give an honest opinion as to whether or not osteopathic treatment will help you on the road to recovery.

His approach is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed whilst he guides you on self help strategies, providing postural advice and appropriate exercises along with guidance on work station set ups and relaxation techniques, to help combat the physical and emotional stresses of modern lifestyles.

David recognises the importance of alleviating patient concerns throughout the initial consultation and subsequent treatment sessions and appreciates the importance of good communication and building trust, whilst developing an effective patient partnership with you.
